In contrast to other types of air conditioning systems, chiller-fan coil systems (chiller-fan coils) circulate water—or another non-freezing liquid—rather than freon between their indoor and outdoor units. Depending on the facility's purpose and other engineering systems, chillers provide either air or water cooling.
The water cooled by the chiller enters the fan coils with the help of circulation pumps and a system of pipelines. In the rooms where they are installed, fan coils use cold water to cool the air. Duct, cassette, floor and wall fan coils are available according to their types, location and design. A fan coil is divided into two or four tubes which perform cooling and heating depending on the temperature.
